2006-01-22 Conner's 4yr Old Birthday (22 pics)

Here a few pictures from Conner's first "big boy" birthday party where he got to invite friends from Church and Pre School. We had the party at our Church's Fellowship Hall by Conner's request. We offered the Bounce Factory, and as much as he loves that place, he said, "No, I want to have it at the church." So, okay.. we did. I was out of town again for the second time in January and Anita did the setup for the church by herself. She did a fantastic job and the crowning achievement of her preparations was a 5 FOOT TALL BUZZ LIGHTYEAR that she painted herself onto a giant piece of cardboard. It was a perfect accessory and is now in Conner's bedroom since there was no way we could get rid of it.


We setup a big section of Conner's Rescue Heroes action figures and vehicles and of course, the massive Floating Command Center. Well, the boys and girls LOVED it. The boys, the most though... of course.



Here is Conner passing out some toys to friends. The boy he's handing a Rescue Hero to is Grant, one of his friends from pre-school. His friend David Blackburn is behind him.

This was Zach, for most of the day. He was super mommy-clingy that day and basically stayed on Anita's hip while she directed most of the activities.

Allison was sick and skipped the party, but desperately wanted to come so Jenny brought her by after the party so that she could still participate at least a little.

Next, we did a small gift exchange at home with just family. We had Mama-T, Papa-T, Jennifer and Jesse, Ashley and Richard, Mom-Bon, and Great-Grandmother Solomon here for the day to celebrate with us.

Conner was extremely expressive all day while opening his gifts. It was very funny and cute. He would start to open something, then stop and close the package or bag really quick and then make a big "OH MY GOSH" face. It was quite memorable. I tried to capture it in a photo, but it was hard to do.

Cariboo! This is a game Jennifer and Jesse gave Conner and he has played it to DEATH. Both he and Zach LOVE IT. It really has surprised me how much he has wanted to play this game. He asks to do so all the time.
